About the 8 NPL Franchises

The Nepal Premier League (NPL) represents regions from all seven federal provinces of Nepal. Each franchise is anchored by an official Marquee Player selected from Nepal's national cricket team pool, paired with prominent international overseas signings.

Tournament rules mandate that each franchise field a balanced combination of senior national team players, domestic emerging talents discovered through provincial talent hunts, and up to four overseas players in their starting Playing XI.

Tournament Pathway & Fixtures

All 8 franchises compete in a 28-match round-robin league stage at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Kathmandu. The top four teams advance to the Page Playoff system.
